I had never sung with a VR headset before this 🤯🎶🔥

@MotokoHonda lives in Oakland and I live in Temecula valley, but we performed together LIVE over SonoBus! The sound information was rerouted through Logic Pro and Loopback with multiple channels sent over AudioMovers to my other @ArtGateVR desktop instances to give the audience in VR a stereo effect with 5 points of sound within the virtual reality world! (Now that's what you call a run-on sentence).

Strange to rethink sound for a VR live performance. There's no air in there, so sound waves behave differently 😬 still learning haha

Motoko (@motokohonda ) and I recorded this track live together on Nov. 18th last year at the Virtual Live Performance during Meta Biennale hosted by @artgatevr 📢 This was our first collaboration and we liked the music so much that we made a music video and will be releasing the music on Friday, March 25th!

I have no words... but I have music.

This piano improv was inspired by @mitchelljai's painting, "Caitlin Consumed" (shown on the vertical screen) and influenced by current world events.

Before I begin sharing a few upcoming projects and releasing other music, I wanted to share this... it will be part of an album I'll release many months from now, but it felt extremely relevant to today. So I'm sharing it early, exclusively on IG.

Stay well, keep pushing forward, help how you're able. Hope you're all doing well - I think many of us are in a similar place of mental unrest with the state of things. You're not alone. Keep sharing honestly and helping in ways you can.

My heart goes out to all those suffering right now.
